In all honesty it depends on when you are ready. It all depends on you. Some brides pick their dress first, before anything else, others leave it till last. There is no right answer. We recommend a timescale of at least 6 months before the big day to allow time for delivery of a gown and then time for the alterations and fittings. A common timescale is 12-14 months to start looking for your dress.
